Radical Change

Until a radical change takes place and we wipe out all nationalities, all ideologies, all religious divisions, and establish a global relationship – psychologically first, inwardly before organizing the outer – we shall go on with wars. – J. Krishnamurti

Well, that’s definitely radical. How does he propose we do this?

This is officially my new favorite quote. It speaks to Jacque Fresco’s philosophy about The Venus Project perfectly. In fact, many of Krishnamurti’s insights are parallel with Fresco’s. Krishnamurti is a great thinker with many excellent insights. One of my other favorite quotes of his is: “And to understand is to transform what is.”
I first heard that in “Zeitgeist: Addendum”, and I didn’t fully realize what it meant until I realized the effect that watching the film had had on my worldview. I believe Krishnamurti is referring to that shift in thinking in this quote, just as he points out in the quote that you posted that the first step toward radical global change is an inward change in values. As I heard someone say recently, “All change is local.”
